In our third week of Group Connect, Pastor Bob preaches out of Luke 7:36-50 and shares with us the story of Jesus embracing the sinful woman. Though not endorsing her behavior, Jesus moved toward the mess that the woman was, and loved her where she was and he wants to do the same for us. As well, he gives us this example that we might move towards others mess and show them the love of Christ.

Luke 15:17-28 is a story about a man who had been paralyzed and could not make the journey to see Jesus, because he was alone. The story goes on to say that a group of men wanted to help their friend reach Jesus but could not because of the crowd. The men lower the man through the roof where he was instantly healed because of his faith. Our Journey in Jesus is not meant to go alone. We often see God's greatest works within small groups. We need groups to join us in our journey, and join us in our joy.

As we went through the Book of 1 Thessalonians, we found many commands that God has Established for us to Excel in Godliness. Here's a list of 30 of those things that we recapped with past Sunday.
1.Excel still more in your walk - 4:1
2.Abstain from sexual immorality - 4:3
3.Possess your own vessel - 4:4
4.Do not transgress or defraud - 4:6
5.Excel in love - 4:9
6.Lead a quiet life - 4:11
